Wavelength breakdown

Nine wavelengths, three bands.

  • Red Visible — 620–750 nm

    Visible red light, absorbed near the surface — skin and superficial tissue. The band the therapy takes its name from.

  • Near-infrared Invisible — about 700–1000 nm

    Sits between visible light and microwaves on the spectrum. Invisible to the eye, and it penetrates deeper — into muscle and joints — for recovery below the skin.

  • Infrared Deep tissue — to 1060 nm

    The longest wavelengths in the panel, for the deepest reach. Spalux™ Glow spans all three bands — nine wavelengths, each individually adjustable — for better penetration into the skin.

The science

Why red light works.

Photobiomodulation is the process by which red and near-infrared light is absorbed by the mitochondria — the energy engines inside your cells. That light energy helps the cell produce more of the fuel it runs on, which is the groundwork recovery is built on.
